I have observed Trey over the past four years work hard to improve his skills but more importantly I have watched a young man mature, discipline himself and commit to excellence. He has learned and demonstrated attention to detail and  become a team leader. Trey is a great young man who gets along well with his peers and coaches, has a positive personality and always tries to do the right thing.

He has set high goals the 2020 spring track season and I am excited to watch him as he works to achieve his goals both in the classroom and on the playing field. Committed to Michigan State University Track and Field.

Nathan is a Trojan 4 year Track athlete whose performances have continued to improve each season. He has developed himself into a strong sprinter thru a regimented offseason workout plan. He is a great competitor and I expected the 2020 to be his “breakout “ track season.  Nathan is a great example of our Trojan Track Program that gives athletes an opportunity to follow our philosophy of “Work hard and  See Where it Takes You!” He will continue his Track career at CMU next fall.

JOSHUA JAMES

Committed to Central Michigan University Track and Field

110m High Hurdles – 300m 41.14 time in Intermediate Hurdles in 2019

Joshua (J.J) is a 4 year Trojan Track and Cross Country athlete.  He is a tremendous young man with outstanding character and work ethic, noting that he is usually the last athlete to leave practice as he gives great attention to detail and to his physical conditioning.  When he began track he was maybe an average freshman track athlete running a 61.0 400m but whose great tenacity and dedication to being a great track athlete was evident to his coaches. He continued to improve his sophomore season and then JJ’s Junior year saw him run the fastest hurdle times in Northern Michigan in April but tragically not compete rest of the season due to a rare muscle injury.  JJ continued to rehab thru the spring and summer and finally returned to training as a member of the 2019 Cross Country team. JJ has run 53.0 in the 400m indoors this past February and this spring he will be one of the top 300m hurdlers in the state. JJ is a great example of overcoming obstacles and still driving forward toward excellence, a trait that will serve him well at CMU next year. He continues to train daily, the last I talked to him he had just finished a workout in the rain. The best is yet to come JJ.
